    CompactLogix 5000 is an advanced family of PLCs manufactured by Allen-Bradley. They are part of the Logix series of controllers that offer advanced programming, diagnostics and control functions for a variety of industrial applications.

    The Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5380 – 5069-L310ER controller is designed as a modular controller that allows installation of up to eight (8) compact I/O modules. It comes with 1MB of built-in user memory for storing and managing application data. This controller operates on an external power supply of 18-32VDC, which makes it flexible to use in a variety of power conditions.

    Its functionality has been enhanced with the ability to support up to eight local input/output (I/O) modules via built-in communication interfaces. They include: one (1) USB port and two (2) Ethernet communication ports, which allows for easy and quick connection to other devices or networks.

    The 5069-L310ER is not only an advanced controller, but also a component of the Allen-Bradley universal automation platform. Thanks to built-in communication interfaces, this controller facilitates data management and communication between various elements of the system, which translates into effective operation and monitoring of industrial processes.

    This controller module can handle as many as 32 continuous tasks, with up to 1000 programs per task. It is equipped with a built-in USB port and two Ethernet ports, offering Ethernet performance of 10Mbps, 100Mbps and 1Gbps in full duplex configuration only. The maximum number of EtherNet/IP nodes that this module can support is 16. It has 1 MB of built-in user memory and the power bus voltage is in the range of 18 to 32 VDC.

    It is equipped with 1MB user memory and comes with 2GB 1784-SD2 non-volatile memory. Memory is expandable with cards such as the 1784-SDHC8 (8GB), 1784-SDHC32 (32GB) and 9509-CMSDCD4 (4GB) CodeMeter CmCard.

    This controller can be programmed using IEC-61131-3 programming languages such as Ladder Diagram, Structured Text, Sequential Function Chart and Function Block Diagram.
