The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 525 – 25B-D6P0N114 is an adjustable frequency drive that provides 2.2 kW (3.0 hp) output in both normal and heavy duty. The device operates with a supply voltage of 480VAC, which is a three-phase power source. Thanks to this, it ensures reliability and efficiency in various industrial environments.
This drive implements speed modulation using various control methods such as sine wave pulse width modulation (PWM), volts/hertz (V/Hz), sensorless vector control (SVC), Economizer SVC motor control, closed loop speed vector control, surface and internal permanent magnet motor (without encoder), internal permanent magnet motor (with encoder). The output current of the drive is 6.0 amps, which allows the motor to be controlled precisely and efficiently. The drive housing is IP20 NEMA/Open rated, ensuring adequate protection against environmental conditions. In addition, the PowerFlex 525 drive has an integrated EMC filter to minimize electromagnetic interference in the electrical network.
The 22B-D6P0N114 has an integrated Human Interface Module (HIM) which has a number of built-in buttons such as Start, Stop, Forward, Reverse and Jog or Jog. It also has a circular dial connected to a built-in potentiometer that is used to modify the output frequency, which directly affects the speed of the motor. This HIM also has an LDC readout to monitor the operating status of the drive. In addition, this HIM has navigation and confirmation keys for configuring the drive.
The 22B-D6P0N114 supports local and remote operation as well as traditional and modern VFD integration. Local and remote operations can be performed via HIM and built-in I/O channels. Traditional integration can be accomplished by connecting external signal and output devices to these I/O channels. Modern integration is carried out using the built-in Ethernet I/P interface using the Premiere Integration option. This integration method uses the Studio 5000 Logix designer where the VFD communicates with a CompactLogix or ControlLogix controller.
