The Allen-Bradley ControlLogix – 1756-EN2TR Ethernet communication module, an integral part of the series, equipped with a dual-band Ethernet/IP (Ethernet Industrial Protocol) communication node, enabling not only general data transfer, but also real-time communication, time synchronization and information exchange related to with various aspects of industrial applications.
The 1756-EN2TR also complies with Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) safety standards, allowing control data to be sent simultaneously, along with diagnostic information. This module uses advanced communication circuits and various physical media, guaranteeing not only effective but also secure communication.
The 1756-EN2TR module has an Ethernet/IP transmission rate of 10-100 Mbps using a double copper cable. Capable of supporting 256 Logix and 128 TCP/IP communication links, it allows up to eight axes to be connected for integrated motion over an Ethernet/IP network. Low current consumption of 1A at 5.1V DC and a maximum dissipation power of 5.1W, together with a heat dissipation of 17.4 BTU/hr, make the 1756-EN2TR a powerful and energy-efficient solution.
It is worth noting that this module can be installed in any slot of the ControlLogix chassis. Its configuration is based on the use of category 5 unshielded twisted pair RJ45 connectors, which ensures not only practicality, but also transmission efficiency.
