Interface modules connect the ET 200SP master station to the automation bus system. There are 5 new PROFINET interface modules available in the new series, from standard to more demanding speeds, and a High Feature interface module is available for the proven PROFIBUS fieldbus.

Thanks to the use of PROFINET interface module ET 200SP SIEMENS SIMATIC IM155-6PN HA – 6DL1155-6AU00-0PM0, a much larger number of parameters per station is obtained, which allows the use of more functional modules. In the case of servicing the interface module itself, it can be easily replaced without using the programmer, additionally – the name and, what is important, the parameters of the device remain unchanged on the module. Various connection technologies are available for the IM154-4 PN HF interface module with the proven 7/8″ M12 connection and improved push-pull connection.

The ET 200SP interface modules serve as a link between controllers and various I/O devices in industrial systems. They offer the possibility to connect various types of I/O modules, such as digital inputs, analog outputs or safety modules. Thanks to this, it is possible to create complex automation structures in which various devices cooperate at different levels of information processing.

With multi-protocol support for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and Modbus, the IM155-6PN High Feature MultiFieldbus Interface Module is designed for use with a wide range of Ethernet controllers, making it reliable for a wide variety of tasks. The interface modules (IM) for PROFIBUS can be combined with three different modules for bus connection and power supply. All connection modules for PROFIBUS have visible address regulators for easy recognition of the address and a switchable terminating resistor.

With SIMATIC ET 200SP, you can use the space in the control cabinet itself more efficiently. The system is approximately 50% narrower than comparable distributed peripheries, with a height of approximately 130 millimeters, which provides space for 16 channels with single-line connection (without AUX terminals). When using a 3-wire connection, the height is 140 mm for 8 channels. Thanks to the 3 integrated Ethernet ports, the connection adapters can be flexibly selected using bus adapters. The 151xSP base units can be expanded with standard ET 200SP modules as well as decentralized via PROFINET with any ET 200 systems.

The ET 200SP safety processors enable the processing of a wider range of standard and safety programs. They are certified to EN 61508 and can be used in safety-related applications up to SIL 3 according to IEC 62061 and PL e according to ISO 13849. For increased IT security, password protection is set for configuration F and program F. CPUs can be used as PROFINET controllers IO or as distributed intelligence in PROFINET I-Device technology.
