    SIMATIC S7-1500/ET 200MP modules are the interface between the controller and the process. They can be used centrally on a SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU or in a decentralized SIMATIC ET 200MP peripheral system.

    The main difference between binary and analog interfaces is that the analog input receives variable signals while the binary input receives static signals.

    Analog I/O modules record process signals such as pressure or temperature and transfer them in digital format (16-bit format) to the controller. They are suitable for measuring current (2- and 4-wire transducers), voltage and resistance, for controlling proportional valves or small servo drives. When scaling is applied to measured values, the analog I/O module directly converts the physical value and makes it available to the user program as a 32-bit floating point (REAL) value.

    Analog module – 6ES7531-7QF00-0AB0 is an I/O system that can be easily used in various applications, has an IP20 degree of protection, has been designed to maximize convenience of use and maximize functionality. The compact dimensions of a device of this class are possible due to the high density of channels, small dimensions facilitate the use of the saved space inside the control cabinet.     25 mm and 35 mm module versions are available. The extended features applied in various analog modules according to the function classes HF (High Feature) and HS (High Speed) offer additional functions: The narrower 25mm modules use the front connector with Push-in technology. Both versions of the modules have the same mechanical structure, offer the same functionality and the same accessories. The 25 mm modules can be freely mixed with the 35 mm modules.

    SIMATIC ET 200 interface modules offer advanced functionality even without integrated CPUs. The advanced PROFINET Shared Device system provides distribution of large configuration limits per station between 2 or 4 PROFINET IO controllers. Large configuration limits can be grouped behind an I/O module to link data to different controllers. This saves the installation of further interface modules and the associated costs.

    The ET 200 supports all MSI and MSO functions. With MSI, data from a digital or analog input module can be mapped to up to four IO controllers. With MSO, data that the controller writes to a digital or analog output module can be read back by up to 3 additional IO controllers. In this way, MSI/MSO also helps to save on redundant wiring. There is no need to program communication devices or other mechanisms, it simplifies software engineering as much as possible, greatly improves the operation and maintenance of the user program. Changes and adjustments can easily be made at any time without negatively affecting the user program.

    Thanks to PROFINET Proximity Sensing (LLDP), the ET 200 interface modules no longer require memory cards. This simplifies the handling of IMs during replacement and also reduces costs. If the Communicator fails, you can simply remove it and insert a new Communicator. The IP address and new name are automatically assigned to the new module by proximity detection. The interface modules are integrated into the TIA Portal. In addition, GSD files are available with which the interface modules can be integrated into any engineering tool and operated on any PROFINET-capable controller. In particular, it enables optimization of the cost of building small-scale stations.

    The ET 200 is ideal for use in advanced plants with very high configuration limits. Connection to PROFINET and PROFIBUS enables installation centrally in a control cabinet or distribution in plants that can cover large areas. In addition to the basic features of SIMATIC I/O systems, additional, improved SIPLUS Extreme variants allow you to increase the places of application of devices, for example in hazardous areas. The S7-1500 FAIL SAFE ET 200 modules allow the processing of both safety-related and standard programs. Their functional safety is certified according to IEC 61508. They are designed for safety-related applications up to SIL 3 according to IEC 62061 and PL e according to ISO 13849.
